Following extensive discussions and critical observation of the current situation, NürnbergMesse, in close cooperation with customers and partners, has decided not to hold the physical BrauBeviale 2020 Special Edition trade fair as planned and to move the program exclusively to the digital world. The reasons for this are the current national and global developments of the corona pandemic, the rapidly increasing number of infections, and the associated massive restrictions on business travel in companies. Exhibitors and visitors will be able to meet virtually all year round on the digital dialog platform myBeviale.com, where the extensive supporting program BrauBeviale@stage will be online from 10 – 12 November 2020. The next BrauBeviale will take place again in 2022 at Messe Nuremberg.

A premiere in Nuremberg: HYDROGEN DIALOGUE & NUEdialog will be making its debut on 18 November 2020, under the auspices of NürnbergMesse in cooperation with the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Erlangen-Nuremberg University) and the Bavarian hydrogen centre Zentrum Wasserstoff.Bayern (H2.B), the event’s honorary sponsor. The HYDROGEN DIALOGUE – Summit & Expo is expected to turn the Nuremberg Exhibition Center into the go-to platform for the hydrogen industry. This new kind of event will include presentations, panel discussions, an exhibition and networking for attendees from business, science and government. “The idea is to engage the entire hydrogen industry loop. That’s what we want to support with HYDROGEN DIALOGUE – the indispensable new meeting point for the entire hydrogen industry,” says NürnbergMesse Group CEO Dr Roland Fleck.

The Board of Management of AUMA – the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry unanimously elected Peter Ottmann (53), CEO of NürnbergMesse, as 1st Deputy Chairman at its meeting in Frankfurt yesterday. Peter Ottmann will alternate on the AUMA Board of Management with his CEO-colleague Dr Roland Fleck since 2011.

In view of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and its effects on the trade fair business, NürnbergMesse has decided to postpone the planned investment in the fourth convention centre in the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. Originally planned for February 2021, the destruction of Hall 3 and the start of construction of the new “NCC Süd” will now take place in February 2024 or February 2025.
