The leading trade fair for landscaping, maintenance and construction of urban and green spaces and sports grounds, golf courses and playgrounds opens its doors for the 24rd time from 16 to 19 September 2020. It is the only exhibition to offer the entire range of products from plants to machines in one place. More than 70,000 visitors and 1,253 exhibitors in 14 halls underscore GaLaBau’s high standing in the booming gardening and landscaping segment.

NürnbergMesse China Co., Ltd. is the subsidiary of NürnbergMesse Group in Germany. All the staff of the GLC project team went to the German headquarters to participate in the GaLaBau exhibition to learn and exchange the successful experience about the leading trade fair. At the same time, the GaLaBau project team also arrange a nice booth for the Chinese GLC project team to promote Greenery and Landscaping China 2019 (GLC 2019) which is an extension of GaLaBau in China.

At 13:30 pm on September 13th （German time）,the GaLaBau project team teamed up with the GLC project team to hold the “Focus China” event at the GLC booth to promote the GLC exhibition and the Chinese landscaping market.

The event attracted a large number of overseas media, magazines, and exhibitors with a strong interest in the Chinese market.

At the beginning of the event, Darren Guo, General Manager of NürnbergMesse China gave a speech to welcome the guests. Subsequently, Ms. Zhang Rui, Secretary General of the Shanghai Landscaping Architecture and Gardening Trade Association (SLAGTA) introduced the general situation of China's green industry and the major work of SLAGTA. After that, Heike.Hofmann, international product manager of the GALABAU project of NürnbergMesse Group, and Henriette Wildnitz, representative of the German Chamber of Commerce in China, gave a keynote speech on “Capturing the Opportunities of China's Green Industry” and shared the social, economic and legal aspects of German companies ‘experience.  It attracted the attention of many participants.

Then, Cai Wei, deputy general manager of Shanghai Agricultural Industry and Commerce Greening Co., Ltd. from China, and Zhang Wei, CEO of Jigao Amusement Group, introduced the development process of Chinese garden machinery to the guests, and analyzed the current situation of children's playgrounds in China and the demand for playground equipment. The booming market has sparked a strong interest in the Chinese market for the guests participating in the event.

Professor Martin Thieme-Hack of the University of Osnabrück in Germany, who visited the GLC in May this year, also gave a wonderful speech entitled "Knowledge Transfer / Opportunities and Limitations".

The international audience attending the event had a strong interest in the GLC2019, and expressed their enthusiasm for going to Shanghai to participate in GLC in May next year.

The success of “Focus China” indicates that the door to the Chinese market has quietly opened. China's landscaping market will attract a wave of international brands.

As of September 15th, 2018, the two-year GaLaBau exhibition ended successfully. The success of the "Focus China" event and the successful conclusion of the GaLaBau2018 also heralded the launch of the GLC 2019.
